It is hard to argue against Australia’s ban on social media for under-16s. Britain now seems primed to follow. In case libertarians dismiss this as a very western coddling of children, Malaysia is on the same course. Perhaps India too. Policy should not be made ad hominem, but I’ll say it: some of these apps’ founders and investors are just too weird to have the benefit of the doubt.
