I was eating dinner with Emily Weinstein, New York Times Cooking’s editor in chief. I came for the razor clams, stayed for the sesame brioche, but left my heart behind with the dessert: an unassuming scoop of billowing dark chocolate, shellacked with vanilla-infused olive oil and studded with candied hazelnuts. Utter bliss in a four-inch mound of mousse.
